How to Hire a Set
Placing a reservation for a set
You can rent a LEGO® set for as short as a week, although for larger sets we recommend longer to allow time to enjoy them. To make a reservation follow the ordering process, we will then be in touch by email to arrange payment, deposit and to confirm collection and return times and locations. Which will need to be settled before we hand over the hire set.
Each hire will require a deposit, which will be returned as soon as the rented set is. We will also require to see a form of photographic ID, with address, as part of our set security process.
You then build and enjoy the set for the duration of your hire period.
Returning
The set must be fully dismantled and returned in the bags provided. There is a guide in the box with the hired set.
Bricks fully taken apart and put back in the correct bags.
Minifigures left as they are and put in their bag.
No stickers to be removed.
Please always use your hands or the enclosed brick separator and never a sharp tool or teeth.
If you do not want to, or cannot, take the set apart yourself we can arrange that at a supplemental fee of £20 per set.
Missing Bricks
We do our utmost to keep our sets complete. However, it may happen that you cannot find a brick while building.
If you cannot locate a brick, it is usually perfectly possible to continue building. We do ask that you report any missing bricks via our missing bricks form at instructionsnotrequired.co.uk/missing-piece. Please note the number of the missing part (can be found in the back of the building instructions) and number of missing parts. Please also let us know if you are able to complete the build without it or if it is an essential part of the build.
If bricks are missing that prevent you from continuing, we will arrange to get these to you and extend the rental period. If we can’t get the missing parts in good time, we will get in touch with you to work out next steps. Please note that we can only do this for essential parts. This means parts that stop you from continuing to build and cannot be missed out with minor changes to the building.
Damage and Loss of Sets
If a set is returned damaged or with missing pieces, please contact us. Depending on the specific circumstances, we may charge a replacement fee for the missing or damaged pieces. The customer is responsible for the safekeeping of the sets while they are in their possession.
In the event of Total Loss of the Equipment, the Hirer will provide the Owner with prompt written notice of such loss and will pay to the Owner all unpaid Rent for the Term plus the Casualty Value of the Equipment, at which point ownership of the Equipment passes to the Hirer.
